My sweet friend Diane Moncion let me tag along to Maddison and Max's wedding last month as a second shooter. M+M were married in the Provo, Utah temple on a clear but cold day in December. Taking portraits at the temple after their sealing reminded me of my own wedding last December at the Salt Lake temple, when I wore long johns, wool socks and boots underneath my dress.

The Call family has 3 of the cutest little girls EVER! They were very patient with camera although it was clear they really wanted to be climbing trees and chasing each other around in circles. We took a few pictures on Main St. in Bountiful, where there are some cool textured brick buildings. Such a sweet family.

Shooting the Gray family earlier this month was so much fun. Their two daughters are absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much for letting me you guys!!
Before shooting we got to see a few real reindeer penned up at the front of Thanksgiving Point, which was especially rad because neither Chase nor I knew reindeers actually existed up until this point. We carefully examined their Amy Carlstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08428542370607489347noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813294656147889557.post-66467356537481332982012-11-30T08:11:00.000-08:002012-11-30T08:11:00.643-08:00almost to the coast.

I met Rob my junior year of high school, in gym class. Because of this, I will forever picture Rob wearing obscenely short shorts and a terry sweatband. Turns out we've both grown up; Rob is now studying finance at BYU and is engaged to the beautiful Carissa, also a BYU student. I was lucky enough to photograph the happy couple this weekend! I had the opportunity to photograph Danna, Ernesto and their adorable daughters this weekend in downtown SLC. The hardest part of this shoot was catching 18-month old Sophia without a Dorito in her mouth :) I'm sure if you look closely you can spot some cheesy remains on her lips. Her older sister Aaliyah, on the other hand, seems fated to be a model by the way she was Amy Carlstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08428542370607489347noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813294656147889557.post-80655242267934632602012-10-29T23:51:00.001-07:002012-12-05T00:20:49.400-08:00cold wind blowing.
Mark Twain wrote, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."
Couldn't count the number of times I heard these words once Chase and I decided to make the drive up north. Call it a self-fulfilling prophecy, but September in San Francisco was nippy (It really doesn't compare to the October in Utah that I'm now experiencing, but at the time there was definitely some Amy Carlstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08428542370607489347noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813294656147889557.post-24996949654289391262012-10-03T00:32:00.002-07:002012-12-05T00:24:15.799-08:00cars and telephones.
Spent Monday in Boston. And fell in love.
My past with the city includes elementary school field trips to the Museum of Science and a duck boat tour (one hell of a ride!). Mow that I've matured, the better part of my time in any new city is spent seeking out the best food. Chase counts on me to do enough research to lead us to the good spots, and I (almost) always pull through.

We left Hawaii at the beginning of the month for good. And we haven't spent much time being sad. Instead, we've been celebrating the upsides of leaving, like affordable groceries ($2.99 gallons of milk v. $9.99), seeing family, driving cars that pass safety inspection, and finally being able to buy "nice" things because we won't have to leave them behind when we move. We even ordered a Amy Carlstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08428542370607489347noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813294656147889557.post-89402092166880466972012-09-27T10:17:00.001-07:002012-12-05T00:27:51.717-08:00let the wind take my body away.
Finally got some photos developed from our Maui trip in March.
I've never seen so many waterfalls in my life. Or eaten so many Krispy Kreme donuts in one weekend.
Being married really is the sweetest thing. Having your best friend at your side all day everyday. Always having someone to laugh with and tell your secrets to. To split meals with. Someone to wink at you across the room. This past week in Hawaii has brought nothing but gray skies and rain! I've been missing my sunshine.
I've been feeling a little bit gloomy lately. I really am the most weather affected person I know (Chase can attest to this; I always ask if it's sunny out when he tries to wake me up, and he knows to lie and say yes if he actually wants me to get out of bed), so I partly blame the Amy Carlstonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08428542370607489347noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813294656147889557.post-26062371838369195752012-04-28T08:00:00.000-07:002012-12-05T00:38:02.513-08:00now our lives are changing fast.
Bucketfuls of good things have happened since I've last written anything. Bucketfuls.
Chase and I took a weekend vacation in Maui. Camped in the most absurd wind I've ever encountered, drove the Road to Hana, saw tons of waterfalls, went to the top of the real high crater, ate our weight in gelato, resort hopped and got sleeping in a Mazda3 down to a science.
